Lukashenko announced the transformation of the EU into a totalitarian military-political bloc

The European Union (EU) has been transformed from a political into a totalitarian military-political bloc with "revanchist sentiments." This was stated on May 9 by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, speaking at a parade in Minsk in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).

"The European Union, created as a political and economic union, has actually transformed into a totalitarian military-political bloc of openly revanchist sentiments," the president said.

In his opinion, Brussels is gradually turning some territories of Poland and the Baltic states into "source areas" for attacks from the eastern side of the North Atlantic bloc.

In addition, Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that Belarus calls for peace, but intends to continue strengthening its defense potential.

On April 29, Lukashenko noted that Russia and Belarus are being taught pseudo-objectivity from abroad today, trying to erase the memory of victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).
