A severe cold snap is expected in Moscow in the evening and at night on May 9, the temperature may drop to +1 degree. This was announced on May 9 by Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency.

"Cold evenings and nights are expected in the Moscow region. <...> In Moscow, the minimum temperature in the evening and at night can drop to plus 1-3 degrees," she told the Moscow city news agency.

According to her, the Arctic air supply will continue. In addition, the temperature may drop to minus 1 degree on overpasses and bridges.

The temperature will be more consistent with the middle of April.

Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that it was cloudy with clarifications, light rain, moderate in places in the region — such weather awaits residents of the metropolitan region on Friday, May 9.
