Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov laid flowers at the monument to the soldiers of the 108th Infantry Division in the Moscow region. This was announced on May 8 by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The monument is located in the village of Anosino, Istra city district, on the territory of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Sanatorium for Employees of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation. The monument was laid on the initiative of Krasnov on the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

"The forces of the renowned 108th Infantry division of the Bobruisk Order of Lenin of the Red Banner Order of Suvorov, under the command of Major General Ivan Ivanovich Birichev, stopped the fascist offensive on Moscow at the border of the villages of Padikovo and Anosino, after which the Red Army launched a counteroffensive to the west," the publication says on the website.

On April 30, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin and employees of the department laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin Wall in Moscow.
