A large-scale celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War will take place in Moscow on May 9, 2025. Its central event will be the Victory Day Parade on Red Square. The celebration program includes the removal of the national flag of Russia and the Victory Banner, a speech by the head of state, a minute of silence, a parade on foot, a demonstration of military equipment, as well as an aerial procession. In 2025, the Victory Day Parade will traditionally start at exactly 10:00 Moscow time. The event will last about two hours. The first to cross the Red Square will be infantry units of various branches of the armed forces, pupils of Suvorov, Nakhimov, cadet schools, yunarmeyts, female soldiers, heroes of a special military operation, as well as a combined military band. The mechanized column will include not only modern technology, but also the famous combat vehicle of the Second World War — the T-34 tank.

Traditionally, the march will start at 10 a.m. and last until 12 p.m.

Special attention is paid to the historical part of the parade — it will feature companies equipped according to the models of the Great Patriotic War, with combat ammunition and the banners of famous formations. The celebration will be completed by an air show with the participation of the aerobatic teams "Russian Knights" and "Swifts" (if the weather does not interfere with it).

A convenient and popular way to watch the Victory Day Parade is through television and online viewing. The live broadcast of the holiday will be held on the Izvestia website, as well as on the main federal TV channels, including Channel One, Rossiya 1, Channel Five and REN TV. It will also be available on RUTUBE, VK, and other digital platforms.

Muscovites and visitors to the city will also be able to watch the parade on more than 20 large digital screens installed in public places throughout the capital, including the largest screen in Victory Park on Poklonnaya Gora.
