Five members of the European Parliament are planning to attend the Victory Day Parade in Moscow on May 9. This was reported on May 8 by Der Spiegel magazine.

"There (to Moscow. A small group of EU representatives is also being sent, including two German members of the [Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice] BSW faction," the article says.

It is specified that BSW politicians Ruth Firmich and Michael von der Schulenburg will visit the Russian capital. According to the magazine, they were part of a delegation whose presence has already been discussed in the highest circles of the Russian Federation.

According to the publication, the delegation will also include deputies from the Czech Republic, Cyprus and Slovakia. Der Spiegel emphasizes that in Moscow they plan to "hold talks with parliamentarians and other representatives of politics and culture."

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who flew to Moscow for celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, stressed on May 7 that he was indifferent to the reaction of Western countries to his visit to Russia. He noted that he had promised Russian President Vladimir Putin to come to the parade and did not plan to break his word.
