The weather forecaster spoke about the weather in Moscow over the holiday weekend

Lyudmila Parshina, head of the laboratory at the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, told what kind of weather is expected in Moscow over the coming holiday weekend.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Wednesday, May 7, the specialist noted that the weather in the capital will be cool but comfortable. In particular, wind is expected, which will make it easier to breathe in the city. No heavy precipitation is forecast.

Meanwhile, mild frosts are expected in Moscow on Thursday, May 8. During the day, the air temperature will be +11...+13 degrees. Light rains will fall in the Moscow region on Friday, May 9.

As the weather forecaster warned, light snow is also possible.

"The temperature is still three degrees behind the climatic schedule. We hope for the second half of May, when it should get warmer," said Parshina.

Airways: Victory Day will be cool and rainy

The temperature will be more consistent with the middle of April.

On May 6, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said that the weather in Moscow on Victory Day, as in many regions of the country, is expected to be cool, with short-term rains. On the same day, Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told the Moscow City News agency that after May 15, the weather in Moscow would return to normal. It is expected that the air will warm up to plus 16 degrees.

At the same time, Pozdnyakova said in an interview with RT that the weather in the capital region in the coming days will correspond to the middle of April.

On May 4, Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the situation center at the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told Izvestia that the weather was expected to be normal in Moscow on Victory Day, May 9.
