The Victory Day Parade in Astana was held for the first time in eight years earlier on the same day. According to the newspaper Vremya, more than 4 thousand servicemen of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan took part in it. In addition, over 200 units of military weapons and equipment were involved in the event, including 66 military aircraft and helicopters.
