WP talked about the idea of the White House to deport migrants to Ukraine

The White House administration has called on Ukraine to accept third-country nationals deported from the United States. This was reported on May 6 by The Washington Post (WP) newspaper with reference to relevant documents.
It is noted that such an emergency request with an urgent request to accept illegal refugees testifies to the desire of the current US President, Donald Trump, to protect the streets of his state from rising crime by curbing illegal migration.
It is indicated that there is no information yet about Ukraine's reaction to the proposal.
At the same time, several anonymous sources told the publication that this topic had never been discussed at the highest level. One of the interlocutors stated that he was completely unaware of any political demands put forward by the United States regarding Kiev's acceptance of the deportees.
The newspaper noted that from the very first days of his second term as president of the United States, Donald Trump prefers to act aggressively in matters of deportation, resorting to unconventional methods.
As part of the discussion of the draft state budget for 2026, Donald Trump proposed on May 2 to stop allocating $3.5 billion for programs aimed at resettling migrants. Later, on May 3, the American leader noted that if the courts refused to support his policy on deportation, it would be possible to talk about the coming of the end of the whole country.
