Temperature rise in the Moscow region is not expected until mid-May. This was announced on May 7 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"There is no need to talk about heat in Moscow and the region, and even in the center of European Russia, it is not visible yet. This means that the models have not yet reproduced the process of temperature rise," he told TASS.

The meteorologist clarified that there is now a trend that daytime temperatures will rise to +15 degrees by mid-May. He also added that one should not expect the same summer weather in May as in April.

On the same day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that cloudy weather and light rain were expected for residents of the capital region on May 7. The air temperature in Moscow during the day will fluctuate in the range of +13... +15 degrees. At night, the thermometer will drop to +3.
