The average price of a new Russian car reached 1.58 million rubles.


By the end of April 2025, the average price of a new car of the domestic brand was 1.58 million rubles, and the Chinese — 3.7 million rubles. Year-on-year, the average cost increased by 15% for Russian brands and 7% for Chinese brands. At the same time, compared to March of this year, this indicator decreased by 1% for cars from the Russian Federation and China. The average price of a car that is not officially represented on the Russian market increased by 41 thousand rubles in April and amounted to 9.16 million rubles — 11% more than a year ago.
In April, the capital region topped the list of territories where the average cost of a new car increased month-on-month, reaching 5.3 million rubles (+2.6% compared to March). This is followed by Yaroslavl and Bryansk regions, where the growth was 1.5%— to 2.1 million and 2.63 million rubles, respectively.
In St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the average cost decreased by 4% to 3.23 million rubles in April. The most significant decrease was recorded in the Rostov region — minus 12.7% compared to March (up to 2.26 million rubles). This is followed by the Republic of Adygea (-12%; 2.13 million rubles) and the Chelyabinsk Region (-10%; 2.65 million rubles).
The five cheapest models for the month among those officially presented in Russia were the Livan X6 Pro (-5.4%; 2.58 million rubles) and X3 Pro (-4%; 1.82 million rubles), Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (-2.4%; 2.96 million rubles), Chery Tiggo 4 (-2%; 2.41 million rubles) and Exeed VX (-2%; 6.17 million rubles). The most expensive were the JAC JS6 (3.4%, 2.79 million rubles), Hongqi H5 (3%; 4.76 million rubles), and Tank 700 (3%; 10.77 million rubles).
Earlier that day, it became known that by the end of April, 102.1 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 25.5% less than in the same month last year.
In April 2025, Lada Granta became the leader of the Russian car market. In the middle of spring, almost 13 thousand Granta family cars (including those produced on its basis) were sold in Russia, which is 33.2% less than a year ago.
