The fourth round of negotiations between Iran and the United States on the Iranian nuclear program will be held in Muscat, Oman, on May 11. This was reported by the Iranian Nour News agency, citing a source.

"The fourth round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States will be held in Muscat on May 21 (Sunday, May 11. — Ed.)," a source told the Nour News agency.

It is specified that the results of the negotiations in Muscat may affect not only Iran's nuclear program, but also the interaction of the United States with the countries of the Middle East as a whole.

The United States and Iran have held three rounds of indirect talks mediated by Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi on Iran's nuclear program and the lifting of economic sanctions against Tehran. The Iranian side is led by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi, and the American side is led by the special envoy of the US President, Steve Witkoff.

The first round of negotiations took place on April 12 in Oman, the second on April 19 in Rome, and the third round was held again in Oman on April 26. The fourth round was scheduled to take place in Rome on May 3, however, according to Oman's foreign minister, the talks were postponed to another day due to logistical problems.
