Polish presidential candidate and member of the European Parliament (EP) Grzegorz Brown tore down and trampled on the flag of the European Union (EU) and wiped his shoes on it in the building of the Ministry of Industry in the city of Katowice. This was reported on May 6 by the Polsat TV channel.

"Poland is here, not Brussels! We will not display the emblems of organizations hostile to us," Brown said.

It is reported that after that, the EP stripped him of his parliamentary immunity. Brown is also one of 13 candidates for the presidency of Poland.

On April 4, in Poland, an attacker tore down and burned 11 flags of Poland and the EU at the Museum of the Second World War, which is located on the Westerplatte peninsula in Gdansk. According to the information of the museum staff, damage was also caused to the mechanisms of raising flags on the mast.
