VK users will be able to watch video content on ad-free platforms on May 9.

On May 9, users of VK services will be able to watch films, TV series, documentaries, original broadcasts and other content inside the sites without video ads throughout the day. This was announced on May 6 by the press service of the platform.

By the 80th anniversary of the Victory, VK and its partners are launching more than 30 educational projects about the people and events of the Great Patriotic War. All materials will be collected on the 9may.vk.company website, where users can easily find the content they are interested in.

Dmitry Uvarov, Director of Strategic Partnership at VK, stressed that Victory Day is an important holiday for Russians. Many people are interested in the history of the country and seek to learn more about those events.

"On the eve of May 9, video views related to the Great Patriotic War are multiplying, and we provide users with the opportunity to watch such content thoughtfully and without distraction. Especially for the anniversary of the Great Victory, VK has gathered hundreds of films, TV series, commercials, and interactive projects dedicated to this day in one place, and we hope that they will find a response from completely different audiences," Uvarov said.

The Zen meta-channel dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory will also work without advertising integrations.
