Frosts of up to -5 degrees are expected in the Moscow region at night and in the morning from 6 to 7 May. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Moscow region on Monday, May 5.

"According to the weather forecast of the federal State budgetary institution Central Directorate for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, frosts from -5 to 0 degrees are expected in the Moscow Region during the night and morning hours from 6 to 7 May," the Moscow City News Agency quotes the message.

Drivers are advised to slow down, avoid sudden maneuvers and keep their distance, pedestrians are advised to be careful on the roads.

In turn, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, said that frosts and short-term precipitation, including sleet, are forecast for Victory Day in Moscow. The daytime temperature will be no higher than +10 degrees, which corresponds to the climatic norm of April, writes RIAMO.

The day before, Anatoly Tsygankov, deputy head of the Roshydromet Situation center, said that clouds and light rain were forecast for May 8, and the temperature background would remain within +8...+13 degrees, reports RT.

Earlier that day, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia that it would be sunny in Moscow on May 6 this week, while the wind would subside a little on that day.

On May 2, the governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, announced that about 26,000 people in the region were left without electricity due to bad weather.
