The death toll from cruise ship capsizing in the Chinese province of Guizhou has risen to nine people. This was reported on Monday, May 5, by China Central Television.

"According to the current investigation and verification, 84 people fell into the water as a result of the accident," the article says.

Of these, 70 people were hospitalized. There is also one missing person.

Both vessels belonged to Donghu Agricultural Passenger Transport and carried 40 people each.

The capsizing of pleasure boats in China became known earlier on May 4. At that time, it was reported that three people were killed and 60 injured, and another 14 were considered missing.
