Brazilian police prevented a terrorist attack at Lady Gaga's concert

Brazilian police have arrested a man and a teenager who planned to commit a terrorist attack at a concert by singer Lady Gaga in Rio de Janeiro. This was reported on May 4 by CNN Brazil.
According to the newspaper, both suspects are members of an extremist group that distributed online materials calling for violence and hate crimes. The group used social media to recruit new members, including those under the age of 18, to carry out terrorist attacks.
"A man identified as the leader of a criminal organization has been arrested for illegal possession of firearms. <...> A teenager has been arrested for conspiracy and possession of child pornography," CNN Brazil writes.
It is noted that Brazilian law enforcement agencies are working to identify other members of the group and completely eliminate the criminal network.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that British police had detained five people, including four ethnic Iranians, on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack. According to law enforcement officials, searches are also being conducted in London, Swindon and Greater Manchester as part of the investigation.
