Senator of the Romanian Parliament, leader of the S.O.S Romania party Diana Shoshoake deliberately ruined the ballot on the day of the presidential election. This was reported by Libertatea on May 4.

It is noted that Shoshoake did not enter the voting booth at the polling station. She crossed out all the candidates on the ballot and entered the names of historical figures.

"This is what voting in illegal and unconstitutional elections looks like. You can fine me any amount," the senator stressed.

Repeated elections are being held in Romania on May 4. The second round is scheduled for May 18.

In March, it was reported that the Central Election Bureau (CEC) of Romania did not allow Shoshoake to participate in the re-run presidential elections. According to the MEP, this is due to her support for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The first round of the Romanian presidential election was held on November 24, 2024. According to official sources, opposition politician Calin Georgescu was in the lead with 22.94% of the vote, but the country's Constitutional Court demanded that the Central Election Commission recount the results. They were cancelled on December 6.
