Russian Zaborsky wins the ultramarathon "6 days of France"


Russian Ivan Zaborsky won the ultramarathon "6 days of France". This was announced on May 4 by the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, the head of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Mikhail Degtyarev.
"Russian athlete Ivan Zaborsky became the winner of the ultramarathon "6 days of France", which ended today in the French Ardechois Nature Park. In six days, our athlete has covered more than 1,000 km," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Russian athlete maintained a stable speed of 1,000 km. During the competition, he demonstrated competent tactics and a high level of training. Zaborsky held the leading position for six days.
According to Degtyarev, the Russian's victory is an important result for Russian athletics. He called Zaborsky's performance an example of willpower, discipline and sportsmanship.
The 6 Days of France is one of the most prestigious endurance competitions in Europe. Its history began back in 2006. That was the first time the marathon was held in Antibes. Today, the 6 Days of France brings together over 140 athletes from dozens of countries around the world.
During the competition, they run almost continuously along a circular route for six days.
On the same day, it was reported about the victory of Russian weightlifter Varvara Kuzminova at the World Youth Weightlifting Championships in Peru. It is specified that she set a world record among athletes under 17 years of age in the weight category up to 76 kg, lifting 235 kg.
