In Bangkok, the death toll in the collapse of a building due to an earthquake has increased to 86

The death toll from the collapse of the Office of the Auditor General in Bangkok as a result of the earthquake has increased to 86 people, nine more were injured and 14 are missing. This was reported on May 4 by Thai PBS.

At the moment, the bodies of 63 victims have been identified, including 46 Thai citizens, 15 from Myanmar, 1 from Cambodia and 1 from Laos.

Two earthquakes occurred on March 28 near the city of Mandalay in Myanmar. The magnitude was 7.7 and 6.4. The tremors were also felt by residents of neighboring countries: Thailand, India, China, Bangladesh and Laos. In Myanmar, the death toll exceeds 2,000 people.

In Thailand, the earthquake was assigned the third level out of four and classified as a large-scale disaster. It was reported that the two main places of destruction were a 34-storey and a three-storey building in the Thai capital.
