In the Belgorod region, the domes of St. George's Cathedral caught fire due to an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

As a result of an attack by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Church of St. George the Victorious in the settlement of Tolokonnoye, Belgorod region, the domes caught fire. This was announced on May 3 by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"The enemy is hitting our shrines again — the Church of St. George the Victorious in the village of Tolokonnoye, Belgorod region, was attacked by an enemy drone. As a result of its detonation, the domes caught fire," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The day before, Gladkov said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had attacked seven settlements in the Belgorod region. He noted that the villages of Otradnoye, Cheremoshnoye, Voznesenovka and Fischevo farm were attacked. As a result, residential buildings, outbuildings and one car were damaged.
