Ukrainian troops will take part in the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany, which will be held in London. This was reported by Reuters on May 3.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU. On Monday, they will take part in a British military march dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, which marks the end of hostilities on the continent during World War II," the agency informs.

It is specified that the Ukrainian military will join about 1,000 British soldiers who will be involved in the parade. Equestrian units and military bands will also be available at the event.

On April 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed to the West's constant attempts to forget history and denigrate the role of the USSR. The diplomat also spoke about his contacts with German diplomats over the past seven to eight years. According to him, the idea was increasingly heard from them that Germany had paid off everyone and owed no one anything anymore.

On February 1, Russian Ambassador to Vienna Dmitry Lyubinsky said that Western attempts to rewrite the history of World War II were doomed to failure. According to him, it is now more important than ever before to honor the memory of the victims of the humanitarian disaster and to recall the heroic deed of the Soviet people.
