China is one of the top three suppliers of meat products to Russia

Meat supplies from China to Russia have increased almost fourfold compared to last year, now China is one of the three main suppliers of meat to the territory of the Russian Federation. This conclusion was made by RIA Novosti on Saturday, May 3, based on data provided by the UN Comtrade platform and statistical portals of different countries.

As in the previous year, Belarus took the first place in terms of meat imports — 56.5% and $1.3 billion. Moreover, imports from this country have also increased — in 2025, 15% more products were imported to Russia.

Brazil took the second place. Meat worth $404.3 million was supplied from this country to Russia. This is 18.1% of the total.

During the year, products worth $125.8 million were imported from China, which makes China the third country in the list of main suppliers. Imports from there accounted for 5.6%.

Paraguay took the fifth place (4.3%), followed by Switzerland (3.6%) and Argentina (3.5%). At the same time, shipments from Paraguay and Switzerland decreased significantly compared to last year, while shipments from Argentina increased.

Earlier, on April 30, it became known that the opening of the first official dealership of the Chinese brand Li Auto (Lixiang) in Russia will take place before the end of May. Li Auto cars in Russia will receive a master account, a Russified interface, a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty, as well as a 160,000 km battery warranty.
