The agenda towards Russia in the United States has changed dramatically with the arrival of the administration of American leader Donald Trump. This includes a performance by Oliver Stone, a film director from the United States, in Moscow. Anna Aryamova, a political scientist and Candidate of political Sciences, shared this opinion with Izvestia on April 30.

On April 29, the cinematographer delivered a lecture at the federal educational marathon "Knowledge. The first ones" in Moscow. Stone spoke about the importance of friendship in relations between Russia and the United States.

"Now the agenda has changed a lot with the arrival of Trump. This is a trend that is set from above, by the authorities. Therefore, even those who were at the forefront of the anti-Russian agenda will join it. <...> I think we will hear more and more sound, objective rhetoric, and this is very encouraging," Aryamova said.

According to the expert, the cultural blockade of Russia, as well as the economic and information blockade, will be broken very soon.

"We are now on the threshold of a completely new era of relations between Russia and the West. Despite the fact that Europe is trying in every possible way not to do this, the United States has taken decisive steps. <...> This happens when everything goes into a categorical negative, and then there may be a categorical plus. Objectively, this trend is already underway, and I think that everything will happen in the near future," Aryamova said.

The political scientist noted that despite long attempts in the West to erase the memory of the Soviet Union's contribution to the victory over Nazism, this contribution remains an objective fact, and the Europeans know this for sure.

"I am sure that there are still many smart people in government, scientific and public structures who perfectly remember how the Second World War took place. Hysterical anti—Russian propaganda leaves its mark, but we are in a new era of information warfare, and our task is to win this war," the expert said.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on February 10 that Trump's return to the White House meant a change of milestones in the country's foreign policy. He noted the interest of the American leader's team in resuming dialogue with the Russian side.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on January 24 that their relationship with the American leader is trusting and pragmatic. The Head of State noted that the Russian Federation was not to blame for the fact that the former American administration had refused contacts with the Russian side, adding that Moscow, in turn, had never refused them.
