The culprit of the unprecedented global crisis is the "Anglo—Saxon crowd" - the countries of the West. This was stated on April 29 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, during a speech at the Znanie marathon. The first ones."

"The culprit of the unprecedented crisis, as a result of which humanity, in fact, has reached the last edge of danger or beyond this edge, beyond which non—existence is located, was, let's say, the Anglo-Saxon crowd and its mercenary games," he stressed.

Medvedev noted that Western countries have made Russophobia the main focus of their ideology. He noted that he did not consider it possible to change this approach in the near future. According to the deputy head of the Security Council, this has led to the fact that Russia's relations with Europe have passed the point of no return.

He added that Europe is currently in a controversial position due to the tariff standoff with the United States and the escalation of controversial issues around NATO's activities.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 20 that the European Union (EU) countries should not talk to Russia in the language of superiority. The Foreign Minister stressed that the leaders of European states are following the path of reviving Nazi ideology in Europe and "shouting" belligerent and hostile slogans against Russia.

On April 12, Lavrov indicated that NATO's efforts are now focused on preparing for a new confrontation, with Germany, France and the United Kingdom at their head. At the same time, he stressed that Euro-Atlantic structures have failed in ensuring security and stability.
