A court in Kamchatka has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a man accused of shooting at traffic police officers in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. This was reported on April 29 in the press service of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky City Court.

According to the investigation, he fired at least six shots in the direction of the police on the basis of a sudden hostile relationship.

"The court reviewed the submitted materials and granted the investigator's request, assigning the person involved a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

Earlier, on April 27, it became known that in the Kamchatka Territory, a man opened fire towards police officers, hiding from the chase after stealing a car. A criminal case has been opened under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers").
