Train traffic has been stopped at the railway station in Barcelona, Spain, due to problems with electricity supply in the country. This was announced on April 28 by Izvestia correspondent Mikhail Blokhin.

The footage shows how a large crowd of people who want to leave is gathering at the station, but due to the current situation, trains do not depart or depart from Madrid.

"I'm going to a city called Graz de Mar, and we're stuck here because the electricity has been cut off, it seems, all over Europe, and trains are not running. We're waiting here for them to say something, and I think we're going to have to spend the night here. It seems they are saying that we will have to wait until tomorrow, because there are no more trains today," said Ricardo, a resident of Spain.

Large-scale power outages in Spain and Portugal became known earlier in the day. It was clarified that this affected the operation of public transport, power lines and telephone communication in some parts of Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon. Later, Spanish and Portuguese media reported that specialists had already begun work on restoring power supply.

Later, Spanish political scientist Santiago Armesilla reported a partial resumption of electricity supply in Spain. Madrid residents have been without electricity for more than five hours. In other regions, the duration of outages ranged from three to five hours.
