Armenian Prime Minister rules out severance of relations with Russia

Armenia does not intend to sever relations with Russia. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on April 28.
According to him, Russian-Armenian relations are based and will continue to be based on the mutual interests of the two countries.
"I want to emphasize that sometimes there are statements in Armenia that, in my opinion, distort reality. We have no intentions of aggravating, severing or spoiling relations with Russia," he said during a press conference with his Estonian counterpart Kristen Michal in Tallinn, which was broadcast by Armenian TV channels.
Pashinyan clarified that Armenia strives to build good relations with all international partners, as well as to regulate relations with the countries of the region. In particular, he noted Yerevan's desire to deepen relations with the European Union (EU).
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 3 that Russia and Armenia, despite attempts to undermine relations between the countries from the outside, manage to maintain a high level of political dialogue.
