US President Donald Trump has said that there is no free and honest press in the country. On April 28, the head of state wrote about this on the Truth Social social network.

"We no longer have a free and honest press in this country. We have a press that writes bad news and rigs the results of polls," the publication says.

In addition, the head of the White House stressed that modern media in the United States are compromised and corrupt.

Earlier, on April 26, The New York Times (NYT) found out that the president's approval rating is only 42%. At the same time, 54% of respondents said that Trump "exceeds his authority." According to the voters, the president does not understand the problems of their daily lives.

On April 14, a reporter from the Associated Press (AP) agency was not allowed into the White House for a press conference with President Trump. At the same time, the administration of the American leader was forbidden to punish AP journalists.
