Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, stressed on Monday, April 28, the importance of combating illegal employment.

Thus, the parliamentarian commented on the information that the Russian government has developed a plan to counter illegal employment for the period 2025-2027, which includes an analysis of the unemployed population and their involvement in the labor market.

"This has been done in the regions, in the government, and in parliament for a long time. This is not only a problem for our country. The International Labour Organization regularly reviews and draws attention to this problem. There is illegal employment in Russia," the deputy explained in an interview with RT.

Nilov stressed that illegal employment is a problem for the workers themselves.

"They would like to officially receive: This is a future pension, this is social insurance. God forbid, an injury at work — he works unofficially, no one will pay any insurance. The pension is not being formed... It's just a problem for the employee," Nilov added.

The government's plan has already been coordinated with all relevant departments and approved by the Russian Trilateral Commission.
