In the province of Oran in northwestern Algeria, four people were killed and 13 injured after a powerful landslide. This was reported on April 27 by the 24HDZ portal, citing data from the country's civil defense department.

Among the dead were women aged 18 and 45, and two children — a 5—year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl. According to the Algerian newspaper Echorouk, all four were members of the same family. It is reported that the landslide occurred on Sunday night.

"In addition, 13 people were injured in various degrees of severity. Seven of them, aged 12 to 75, were evacuated by civil defense groups," adds 24HDZ.

As a result of the landslide, five makeshift houses collapsed. It is specified that dilapidated and dilapidated housing prevails in the disaster area.
