Medvedev got acquainted with the new drones at the Kapustin Yar training ground

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, visited the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region, where he was shown promising drones, barrage ammunition and new weapons for rocket and barrel artillery. Medvedev posted a video of the visit on his VKontakte page on April 26.
"We have just got acquainted with the work of advanced weapons for our rocket and barrel artillery, barrage ammunition, and unmanned aerial vehicles," Medvedev said.
He also noted that the relevance of the demonstrated systems was discussed three days ago at a meeting of the Military-Industrial Commission led by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, on March 26, Medvedev said that new highly effective air defense systems should be installed to protect against drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite negotiations, are striking UAVs at targets, including civilian infrastructure buildings. Medvedev noted that highly effective air defense systems should be deployed in the near future to protect against attacks.
