Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have launched more than 130 drones in the Belgorod region. This was announced on April 26 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.

According to him, several districts of the region were affected by the attacks. The city of Belgorod was attacked by two aircraft-type drones, but there was no damage. Drones damaged an industrial building and a communications facility in the Belgorod region, and a private household gas pipe in the village of Orlovka. Power lines have been damaged in a number of villages, and emergency services are continuing to restore them.

As Gladkov noted, the attacks were most severe in the Grayvoronsky district: two people were killed and five injured as a result of drone strikes. Cars, houses, and retail facilities were damaged.

"All the victims are receiving the necessary medical care," the governor stressed.

In addition, 22 attacks were recorded in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, during which 111 ammunition was fired, and 37 drones attacked it. As a result of the strikes, a social facility and cars were damaged.

Air defense systems successfully shot down enemy drones over Gubkinsky, Korochansky, Prokhorovsky, Rakityansky and Starooskolsky districts. No damage or injuries were recorded in these places, Gladkov added.
