On the border line in the Kashmir Valley, the Indian and Pakistani militaries exchanged gunfire again. This was reported on April 26 by the RTI news agency, citing a source in the Indian army.
"On the night of April 25-26, unprovoked small arms fire was conducted from various posts of the Pakistani army along the entire line of control in Kashmir," the report says.
According to the agency, the Pakistani military is on high alert after the Indian authorities announced the persecution of the terrorists who staged the shooting in Pahalgam.
In India, near the city of Pahalgam, a terrorist attack took place on April 22, which killed 27 civilians. The Resistance Front, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in India, claimed responsibility for the incident.
In connection with the terrorist attack, on April 25, the Indian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the decision to suspend the 1960 Indus River Treaty and cut off the supply of water from its stream to Pakistan. At the same time, the Indian authorities announced the suspension of the issuance of visas for Pakistani citizens.
