The financier predicted the future dollar exchange rate

The dollar may remain at current values from July to September, but it all depends on the policy of US President Donald Trump. This opinion was expressed by financier Vitaly Kitaychuk on Friday, April 25.

"Somewhere, maybe from July to September, it will remain in this range — 80-85 rubles. And then it's not clear, the political situation is so lottery-like that it's not known where he will go next. That is, it can go up to 70 rubles, or maybe 95 rubles and higher," the expert said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

According to Kitaychuk, this is due to the fact that today there is an uncertain situation between the United States and the Russian Federation.

The financier recalled that many things have changed since Trump came to power. Kitaychuk believes that in order to make forecasting easier, there should be a softening of the global trade situation, as today it has become fierce and all countries have begun to switch to a domestic currency.

He noted that the dollar is still used in current annual contracts in the oil industry, but there are already mutual settlements with China, which are conducted in yuan.

The Bank of Russia has set the official dollar exchange rate for April 24, 2025 at 82.3637 rubles, RT reports. Thus, the regulator raised the official dollar exchange rate by 90 cents relative to the previous indicator.

On April 14, the dollar exchange rate on the international Forex platform reached a minimum of 80.9 rubles against the background of a decrease in the global index of the American currency and the relative strengthening of the Russian one. According to Anna Anisimova, director of the Merchant CRM service, the reason for the depreciation was the general weakness of the dollar in international markets due to the increasing instability of US trade policy.
