- Pakistan's Senate condemns India's attempts to link the country to the terrorist attack in Kashmir

The Senate of Pakistan has unanimously passed a resolution against India's attempt to link the country to the terrorist attack in Kashmir. This was announced on April 25 on the Senate's page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
"The Senate of Pakistan <...> rejects all frivolous and baseless attempts to link Pakistan to the attack on Pahalgam, committed on April 22, 2025 in <...> Jammu and Kashmir," the document says.
The resolution, proposed by Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, notes that the state is capable of protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity, therefore, a decisive response will be given to any aggression from the Indian side.
Pakistan condemns India's statement on the freezing of the 1960 Indus River Treaty, which "is a blatant violation of the treaty and undoubtedly amounts to an act of war," the document emphasizes.
Earlier in the day, media reported that Indian Interior Minister Amit Shah had called for the expulsion of all Pakistani citizens. According to the ANI News agency, Indian ministers and other senior officials of the country will hold a meeting on the Indus Waters treaty.
On the eve of the Indian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the decision to suspend the agreement, thereby stopping the supply of water from the stream to Pakistan. At the same time, the Indian authorities announced the suspension of the issuance of visas for Pakistani citizens in connection with the terrorist attack on civilians and tourists on April 22 in Pahalgam in southern Kashmir, which killed 27 people.
