On Monday, April 28, another lesson from the series "Conversations about important things" will take place in Russian schools and colleges. The conversation will take place on the eve of the Spring and Labor Day, which is celebrated in our country on May 1. During the lesson, they will talk about how to achieve success in life and what role work and education play in this. Izvestia tells us how the lesson will be organized in different classes.
"Talking about important things" on April 28 — the topic of the lesson
The topic of the new lesson is "What is success?". Its main goal is to form ideas about the value of creative work and the need to develop one's labor and creative potential, which is important both for achieving personal success and the well-being of the entire state.
They will talk separately about how to succeed and who can be considered successful people. To understand the meaning of the word "success", children will be helped by their peers and adults, who will tell them in a video interview format how they became successful in their business and what path they took to achieve success.
The lesson will be held in the format of an educational conversation using video materials, presentations and interactive elements. The partner will be the Youth All-Russian public organization "Russian Student Groups".
The class duration is 30 minutes. Teaching materials for teachers are published on the website of the Conversations about Important project.
"Conversations about important things" April 28 — lesson program
For students of the first and second grades, the lesson will begin with watching a fragment of the cartoon "Vovka in a Faraway Kingdom." This instructive cartoon, based on a story by writer Vadim Korostylev, clearly shows that it is impossible to succeed by shifting your responsibilities to others or hoping for a miracle. During the conversation, the teacher will smoothly bring the children to the understanding that the basis of any success is knowledge and work.
In the third and fourth grades, the meaning of the word "success" will be analyzed in detail and why it is important to do everything in a timely and high-quality manner. They will also talk about the fact that in addition to hard work, it is important to have a dream, since it is with dreams that many great achievements begin. In the sequel, the guys will talk about their dreams and give examples of successful people among their environment.
In the fifth and seventh grades, they will pay attention to the importance of family in the formation of a successful personality, and also discuss why creating a strong family can also be considered a success. Then the guys will give examples of their personal success. These can be well-done test papers, achievements in sports, helping parents around the house or a friend. In this way, the students learn that success is not limited only to material achievements, but is reflected in various aspects of life, such as career, family and friendship.
In the eighth and ninth grades, they will discuss what qualities help a person become successful, how to set goals correctly and what needs to be done so that every small success becomes a brick in the construction of great success. In addition, the guys will watch a video about young professionals who have already achieved serious success in life.
In grades 10-11, students will talk about the importance of personal success for the development of a common cause and the achievement of so-called "team success." Then students will discuss which success, in their opinion, is more important: personal or public. High school students will also have to create their own formula for success and refine it together so that the formula becomes universal.
Thematic tasks and educational games have also been prepared for college students. In addition, they will have to answer questions: which professions are the most important for society, how they understand the expression "to serve people and the country" and what deeds can benefit the Fatherland right now.
