Turkish seismologists reported 30 aftershocks after the earthquake in Istanbul

After the earthquake in Istanbul, about 30 more two- to five-magnitude aftershocks occurred off the coast of the Marmara Sea, seismologists from the Turkish Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) reported on April 23.
Aftershocks were recorded about two hours after the earthquakes.
"Today at 12:49 p.m., an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred off the coast of Silivri in the Sea of Marmara. It was acutely felt in the provinces of Istanbul, Tekirdag, Yalova, Bursa and Balikesir," the AFAD website says.
A disaster response plan (TAMP) has been introduced in Turkey. There are no reports of casualties or damage at the moment.
Three earthquakes in Turkey occurred earlier in the day. The first 3.9-magnitude tremors were recorded off the coast of Istanbul's Silivri district. After that, an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred in Istanbul. Next, a magnitude 4.4 seismic event was recorded off the coast of Buyukcekmece in the Sea of Marmara.
Later, CNN Turk reported that aftershocks were recorded in Istanbul after an earthquake of magnitude 6.2. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikay noted that there was no information about the collapse of buildings.
As CGTN TV channel noted with reference to the office of the governor of the city, 151 people were injured as a result of the earthquake.
