Turkish authorities reported aftershocks after the earthquake


Aftershocks were recorded in Istanbul after an earthquake of magnitude 6.2, CNN Turk reported on April 23, citing official sources.
According to Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikay, there was no information about the collapse of buildings. It is also noted that medical institutions have not recorded the appeals of citizens related to the earthquake.
"So far, the 112 emergency center and our hospitals have not received any reports of casualties," the Turkish Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Three earthquakes in Turkey occurred earlier in the day. The first 3.9-magnitude tremors were recorded off the coast of Istanbul's Silivri district. After that, an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred in Istanbul. Next, a magnitude 4.4 seismic event was recorded off the coast of Buyukcekmece in the Sea of Marmara.
