Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated his readiness to negotiate with Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on April 21.

He added that Putin's words about his willingness to discuss the issue of non-strikes on civilian targets bilaterally referred specifically to Kiev.

"And the president has repeatedly said before that he is ready to negotiate with the Ukrainian side <...> This is his other proposal in this regard," Peskov added.

Earlier in the day, Putin said that Russia was ready to analyze Moscow's proposal for a moratorium on attacks on civilian targets. The President noted that it is necessary to carefully assess the situation and make an appropriate decision.

At the same time, on April 21, Peskov announced that all interested parties would be informed about Kiev's non-compliance with the Easter truce. He added that the Russian side remains open to seeking a peaceful settlement.
