A series of medium-level G2 magnetic storms is expected on Earth from April 22 to 23 due to a large coronal hole in the Sun. This was announced by Sergey Bogachev, Professor of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, on Monday, April 21.

"We observe that the Earth has entered the zone of action of a large coronal hole. According to my forecast, which is based on this fact, the situation will be very dynamic, and we expect a series of G2—level storms from April 22 to 23," Bogachev told the Moscow City News agency.

The scientist added that a low-level G1 magnetic storm could begin as early as the evening of April 21.

In Moscow on this day, experts predicted a low atmospheric pressure of about 747 mmHg, which can cause headaches, fatigue and decreased concentration. 360.ru .

On April 20, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, reported that the Earth's geomagnetic field would enter an outraged state on April 22, and G1–G2 class magnetic storms could begin in the evening. He pointed out that the world meteorological centers predict a three—day duration of these magnetic storms - they will end approximately on April 24.

Earlier, the Russian Academy of Sciences reported a sharp increase in solar activity in recent years, reports NSN.

On April 12, Candidate of Medical Sciences Konstantin Spakhov explained how weather-sensitive people can relieve their condition during magnetic storms. According to the expert, it is necessary to monitor the pressure, writes Pravda.Ru .

Spakhov clarified that it is important to avoid everything that works to increase blood pressure: excessive consumption of salt, caffeinated drinks (tea, coffee, soda, energy drinks), strong alcohol and stress.
