An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred in the Akhtyn district of Dagestan. On April 21, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the republic informed about this.

As stated in the publication posted on the agency's website, the depth of the earthquake was 10 km.

There were no tremors on the surface. No casualties or damage were recorded as a result of the earthquake.
