Ukraine's accession to the European Union (EU) may lead to a continuation of the military conflict with Russia. This was announced on April 19 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in connection with the holding of a national referendum on the admission of the Ukrainian side to the union.

He noted that Brussels is going to admit to the European Union a country that lacks clear borders, a stable economy and full-fledged sovereignty.

"And they (Brussels. — Ed.) expect that EU taxpayers will finance the million-strong army for decades," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to Orban, Ukraine's accession to the EU provides the Ukrainian side with carte blanche for an "endless conflict."

On April 18, the Hungarian government announced that Ukraine's accession to the EU would result in the penetration of the Ukrainian mafia into Europe. It is clarified that even before the conflict began, Kiev was one of the centers of drug trafficking and organized crime in Eastern Europe. In addition, Budapest does not exclude the possibility of weapons transferred to Kiev for military operations falling into the hands of criminals.
