11 people were killed in Ecuador as a result of shooting at cockfights.


In the Manabi province of Ecuador, 12 people from a group recognized as terrorist in the country committed an armed attack on cockfights. As a result, 11 people were killed and nine others were injured. This was reported on April 18 by the Ecuavisa TV channel, citing sources.
"The National Police reported 11 dead and nine more injured citizens, including women and minors," the publication says.
As indicated, the attackers stole $20,000 of the prize fund.
The injured were taken to hospitals.
The police have appointed a reward to citizens for information about those who opened fire.
Earlier, on March 29, it was reported that Ecuador had begun preparations for the arrival of American troops, and the country's president, Daniel Noboa, was going to appeal to US leader Donald Trump to help in the fight against gangs in the country.
