The coastal areas of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are safe for summer holidays, but the coastal areas of Anapa and Temryuksky district of Krasnodar Krai do not meet resort standards. At the same time, the quality of drinking water remains high. This was announced on April 18 by the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova.

"141 Anapa beaches and 9 Temryuk beaches currently do not meet sanitary and hygienic standards in terms of their indicators and pollution levels and currently cannot be used for the summer wellness campaign," she said at a briefing on preparations for the tourist season.

At the same time, Popova stressed that the quality of drinking water, food and atmospheric air in Anapa remains high. She added that the recreational area can be used without exploitation of beaches and sea water.

In addition, the head of the department said that this year it is planned to continue research in the region with the same intensity as in previous years.

On March 12, new fuel oil emissions due to warming were detected on the Anapa coastline. It is noted that special services are monitoring the situation on the city's coastline. In addition, about 1,700 people are involved in the removal of contaminated sand and soil, including municipal teams, as well as emergency workers and volunteers.
