"Not on the list" became the opening film at the 47th MIFF

The 47th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) was officially launched in the capital on April 17. This year, its program features more than 200 paintings from 50 countries. The opening film was the military film "Not on the list" with Vladimir Mashkov.
The plot of the historical film is dedicated to the heroic defense of the Brest Fortress in 1941. One of the main roles was played by Vladimir Mashkov.
"The Oleg Tabakov Theater team, which was almost entirely involved in this film, took filming very seriously. And the young guys were trained according to the regulations of 1938. They knew how to disassemble weapons. But on the set, in absolutely plausible proposed circumstances, of course, I had to work hard," he shared with Izvestia.
Mashkov was awarded the honorary Konstantin Stanislavsky "I Believe" award at the opening ceremony. Over the years, Russian and foreign film stars have become its laureates, including Oleg Yankovsky, Evgeny Mironov, Catherine Deneuve, Meryl Streep.
"Stanislavsky said that only the art of big truth, big feelings and big ideas can reflect our reality. Thank you for your faith in me! Thank you for believing in the work we are doing. And I am also sure that in this hall today we all believe in our victory and we believe in our guys," Mashkov said from the stage.
