The majority of Russians (85%) choose classic Easter cakes with raisins, fudge sugar and soft cream crumb. This is on Thursday, April 17, according to analysts at the OK hypermarket chain.

In 2025, according to analysts quoted by Gazeta.Ru", the demand for Easter pastries may grow by 15%. Easter cakes with unusual additives, such as pistachios and chocolate, dried cranberries, and caramel, are becoming increasingly popular in large cities. Their share in sales is about 15%.

According to analysts, on average, Russians buy from three to eight cakes per customer.

In addition to cakes, there is a growing demand for other holiday attributes. Easter cakes (especially with caramel filling, cranberries and chocolate), colored eggs, candles, willow and cahors are increasingly found in the Easter basket.

According to the expert, when buying a cake, you need to pay attention to the appearance. It should be smooth, not crumpled, not deformed. There should be no visible breaks or cracks on the cake, and it should not crumble. This is important because improper transportation and storage of the cake can lead to loss of presentation and quality of the product.
