The plane with the last group of Russian rescuers returned from Myanmar

The Russian Emergencies Ministry plane with the last group of Russian rescuers returned from Myanmar and landed at Zhukovsky Airport. This was announced on April 16 by the press service of the department.
It is specified that there were 50 rescuers and doctors of the airmobile hospital on board the IL-76 aircraft.
"The department's airmobile group has completed an international rescue operation in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar," the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Telegram channel noted.
At Zhukovsky airport, the participants of the rescue operation were greeted by the orchestra of the department, colleagues and relatives.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, rescuers worked in one of the most affected regions of Myanmar — the city of Mandalay and its surroundings, where a field camp was organized and an airmobile hospital was deployed.
Two earthquakes in Myanmar of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 became known on March 28. The epicenter of one of them was located 31 km northwest of the city of Mandalay. The death toll from the earthquake exceeded 3.7 thousand people.
Over 100 Russian rescuers arrived in Myanmar on March 29 to provide assistance. So, the department's staff examined 75 buildings in Myanmar in search of people affected by the earthquake. In addition, since the beginning of the rescue work, doctors of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation have performed three complex surgical operations.
