- The captured fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told about the abandonment of his command in the Kursk region

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) leaves the militants alone when changing locations. This was announced on April 16 by Alexander Ivanov, a captured militant of the Ukrainian army.
He shared that the staff of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) issued him a summons when he was on his way to the market in Poltava. He came to update the data and never left the military enlistment office.
"They brought us from school right away, and the fuss started right away: you will live there, they will take you somewhere else to study. That is, no one said that we would go straight to the Kursk region or somewhere else," the prisoner of war shared.
He shared that the exercises lasted more than 35 days due to the delay. According to him, after that, the so-called buyers came from the brigades, who talked with the military personnel and selected them for their units.
Ivanov clarified that they were brought to the village at night and abandoned at a bus stop, where they were met by a woman. Subsequently, a young man in civilian clothes approached the militants and took them to a position, promising that the next day the command would report on the tasks. Initially, the servicemen were instructed to observe and report on the situation by radio.
The prisoner of war stressed that the command did not tell the militants anything, but told them to leave for their place of deployment. According to him, 14 people gathered there, and then the shelling began. On orders, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters first ran to the basement, and then in small groups of five to the water—cooling tanks and hid. Ivanov clarified that he had asked the brigade to wait for him, but after leaving the shelter, he discovered that no one was there.
"I'm shouting, 'Wait.' So no one waited for me, they left. When I came out, there was no one there. I walked and walked and there was no one there. I went back to the basement," he shared.
The prisoner of war shared that upon his return he saw two civilians in the basement and decided to wait until his colleagues or soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation arrived. He spent two days with the civilians and clarified that after the Russian military found him in the basement. According to him, the military provided him with a phone to call his relatives.
He noted that he did not understand why the Ukrainian side had invaded the Kursk region, and added that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was lying, and the reality looked different.
On April 12, Vladislav Belopolsky, a captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shared that Ukrainian gunners were opening fire on their colleagues. According to him, the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at them when their car was on the way. He also noted that the militants were ordered to immediately open fire on civilians who speak Russian.
