Citizens of the Russian Federation increasingly began to choose alternative vacation destinations besides Anapa. This was reported on April 16 by Gazeta.Ru" with a link to the study YouTravel.me .

"The most popular among alternative destinations are other resorts in the Krasnodar Territory — Gelendzhik, Sochi and Tuapse, where 22% of respondents plan to go. Slightly fewer respondents (18%) chose resorts of the Sea of Azov, such as Yeysk, Taman and Kuchuguri, which attract a more relaxed atmosphere and affordable prices," the newspaper reports.

High rates also remain in neighboring countries. Abkhazia was preferred by 15% of the respondents, while the resorts of Georgia were chosen by 8%.

The Caspian coast of Dagestan is growing in popularity as a domestic Russian destination. 14% of the survey participants plan to spend their holidays in this region. At the same time, the popularity of Crimea is 7%.

"Special attention should be paid to the growing interest in specialized vacation formats: 9% of respondents consider gastronomic and wine tours in Anapa itself, which indicates the emergence of new niches in the tourist market," the study showed.

On April 14, Yuri Barzykin, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Entrepreneurship in the field of tourism, announced that the majority of Russian tourists would travel south during the May holidays. He said that Krasnodar Region is the leader in the number of bookings — 20-33%. The Azov coast is also actively booked — there is an increase of 15%. In addition, the growth of the tourist flow to Crimea increased by 80% compared to last year.
