The second round of talks between representatives of the United States and Iran will be held in Muscat, the capital of Oman. This was announced on April 14 by representatives of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmail Bagai.

"After consultations, it was decided that Muscat will remain the host for the second round of negotiations, which will take place on Saturday," the IRNA news agency quoted him as saying.

It is clarified that during the first round of negotiations on April 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman was responsible for the oral and written exchange of messages between the Iranian and American delegations.

The first round of negotiations between the United States and Iran on lifting sanctions and nuclear issues ended in Oman on April 12. During the meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and the US President's special envoy for the Middle East, Stephen Witkoff, exchanged the positions of their governments on these issues in the presence of the Omani Foreign Minister.

At the end of the meeting, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced the continuation of negotiations in a week. Araqchi said that during the second round, Iran will discuss with the United States the framework of possible agreements. In turn, Trump noted that the negotiations on Iran are going well.
